Over the years I have worked extensively on paper, as it provides a surface that is at once immediate but provides
for many different ways of dealing with what can happen on paper. Often the pieces start with left over oil paint applied
directly to the paper. These pieces are almost always improvised. I especially have been excited about the recent child
drawings, where the figure is traced on the floor and then worked into with graphite, oil pastel, turpentine, and other media.
